Join us at Stirling Books & Brew at 6pm Saturday, September 14th for the improvisational and collaborative event "Triplet"!
Triplet centers on dance from Kristy Clement of the Kreative Movement Project, with three dances. In the final presentation, a true improvisation, the artists will collaborate on an improvisational piece featuring the poetry of Octavia Crawford Turner, dance from Kristy Clement, and music from guitarist Dan Palmer and trumpeter Jim Stuart.
You won't want to miss this!
The mission of the Kreative Movement Project is to bring opportunities for dance education and performance to the community of Albion, Michigan by offering classes and creating performance opportunities for beginners as well as experienced movers. Dance can not only provide the physical benefits of coordination, strength, balance and flexibility but can also improve memory, expand one’s imagination, increase awareness of self and others, and so much more. For children and adults, dance classes can help with confidence, working with others, following directions, and learning to be respectful. Learning the foundations of ballet, modern and other dance techniques opens the doors to a new knowledge of one’s own body and abilities. Sharing creative movement with the community allows a unique type of communication between performers and the audition and can expose those involved to feelings and ideas that cannot be put into words.
